Water Bombs and the fire of the Spirit. Everyone had fun this Pentecost!
Malcolm’s funeral was a wonderful occasion, celebrating the life of someone who lived the Gospel attitudes and enjoyed life to the full! Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who took part.
Making prayer necklaces, flowers, easter gardens… we had lots of fun.
Jesus was arrested… and the disciples fled. We took all the beautiful things out of Church, and all that was left was Jesus.
So, we didn’t have Jesus on a real donkey. But we had a dad on a bike, and that’s almost as good as the real thing.
We kicked off Easter in style, remembering Jesus’ journey into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey. People waved palm branches in the air to greet Him. “All glory, laud and honour to thee, Redeemer, King!”
We talked about Ezekiel and the Valley of Dry Bones and then spent time exploring Moses leading the Israelites through the Red Sea. We were surprised at how many different things we found to talk about just from two passages in the Bible. Excellent soup lunch afterwards. Thank you to everyone who took part.
The new Sunday Morning club will meet every week during the 10am Parish Communion. We will learn about our faith and have fun at the same time! Come and join us. Contact Fr Thomas for more info.
